When something, somewhere or someone is called new, it is so because there should be a difference from what has been before.

And so when people approach the new with an old mindset, they easily get frustrated with their outcomes.

This is a new year, the beginning of a new decade, a totally new season that demands a totally new approach to the different dimensions that the year will present to us.

We must refuse to be familiar in our approach, so we don’t miss the fantastic sides and we must refuse to casual in our approach, because it is not business as usual.

A whole lot has changed and is changing and it behooves on us to change, reinvent and repurpose our mindsets, our approaches and our dispositions, we must also reposition ourselves for maximum relevance and gear to win.

One of my favourite books of all times is the Bible and in it’s first chapter, it tells the story of creation which has been proven to be the most accurate story of creation ever, showcasing God’s creative prowess in beauty and perfection.

So the first creation of God in the beginning was Light!

Light is one of the most potent forces in the universe, it’s import cannot be overemphasized, it’s uniqueness can’t be downplayed.

When light comes, darkness disappears, clarity comes, vision gets brighter, understanding comes, direction gets clearer and there’s no cause for stumbling and struggling.

And if there’s one thing we all need as we begin this year and a new decade is Light.

Light makes all the difference!

May we all find Light in all our endeavours to make our journey progressive and beautiful.
